Event Name Games 4 Rehab Seminar - Los Angeles 2012
Event Description (Three Star Smoked Fish Co: host Games 4 Rehab Seminar)

Be the first to see the games and projects developed by leading rehabilitation video game development companies like: Blue Marble Game Co., Institute for Creative Technology, Motion Fitness, and Jintronix. Observe how video games for X-Box, Playstation and Wii can be used in your clinic and at home to challenge player’s cognitive and physical domains.

Multiple demo stations will be available for participants. Our stations will support: Android, iPad, X-Box, Playstation 2 & 3 as well as Windows XP/7. We expect the list to grow as we get closer to the seminar.

We have three tracks for the seminar: 

Video Game Production
- What considerations do developers, programmers and artists keep in mind when developing games for rehabilitation?
- What is performance tracking and why is it important?
- What role does game plot play in the development?

The Gaming Business, Healthcare, and Rehabilitation current and emerging 

Clinicians
- How can clinicians use off-the-shelf games in their clinics today?
- How do video games track outcomes and why should a clinician care?

Players
- What are players looking for in a game?

Each track will be live streamed through the website: games4rehab.org

When: Friday, August 24 12pm - 7pm and Saturday, August 25 8am - 7pm

Price: FREE

Can’t make it in person? Dang! Don’t fret. We will live stream each track over the Internet and make each presenter’s Power Point available during the seminar.

All invited guests are welcomed to volunteer to speak at the seminar and network with the people present.
